Western Kentucky freshman center Charles Bassey is one of 10 finalists for the Kareem Abdul Jabbar Award, presented to the nations’ best center. Bassey – a 6-foot-11, 245-pound native of Lagos, Nigeria – is averaging 14.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks this season while shooting 63.1 percent from the field. The award winner will be announced during the College Basketball Awards Show April 12th in Los Angeles.
