A Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening with more rainfall to make its way across western Kentucky.
Just under two inches of rain had fallen since midnight Wednesday morning in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties, as of about 5 a.m. Thursday.
Dispatchers in all three counties did not have any reports of flooded roads or streets.
Another inch of rain is expected as a cold front pushes across the region from west to east later today and that could result in flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas, in addition to rising water levels on area rivers, creeks, and streams.
If you do encounter standing water on the roads, remember—turn around, don’t drown.
