Heavy rain threat continues Wednesday, Thursday

There continues to be a chance for heavy rain across western Kentucky Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Paducah is forecasting two-to-three inches of rain in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties—with higher totals expected in areas to the north and west.

Any thunderstorm development could also lead to enhanced rain amounts.

The warm weather will be over for a while following the rain, with high temperatures expected to be in the mid-30’s by Friday.

Anyone encountering standing water on area roads this week is reminded to turn around, don’t drown.
