The inmate who escaped Sunday morning from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex near Fredonia in Lyon County has been captured.
The staff contacted KSP at about 6:10 a.m. and said 25-year old Aaron Alexander Davis of Paris, Ky. jumped off a food cart and took off walking.
About three hours later, thanks to a tip from the public, KSP located Davis in a field in Caldwell County.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree escape.
The Lyon and Caldwell County sheriff’s departments assisted KSP in the investigation.
