Additional details have been released on a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at Koffman Drive and Lafayette Road from Monday morning that sent a teenager to the hospital.
Witnesses told Hopkinsville Police that 14-year old Dakota Mingle of Hopkinsville attempted to run across Lafayette Road and entered the path of a southbound pickup driven by 49-year old Victor Leonard of Clarksville, who did not have time to stop.
Mingle landed on the pavement several feet from the point of impact, but sustained only minor injuries, according to the police report. He was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of neck and leg pain.
