The Christian County Colonels Wrestling team now has a 10-1 dual record after placing 5th at this weekends Kentucky State Duals Wrestling Championships.
The Colonels defeated previously undefeated Madison Central in the first round of pool matches. In the second round, the Colonels fell to Moore Traditional. In its third match, the Colonels rebounded from the earlier loss and defeated Meade County. In the 5th place match the Colonels faced McCracken County and unlike their previous match, which was a draw that was settled by the 9th tie-breaker, the Colonels left no doubt about who would be the victor by defeating the Mustangs.
The Colonels next wrestle February 8th & 9th in the Region 1 State qualifier at McCracken County.
