Local man arrested for meth possession

An investigation Friday morning on Remington Road led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on a methamphetamine charge.

Officers received a call that a man was trying to get inside a home without permission and the victim believed it was her ex-husband, 46-year old Michael Allen Keys of Hopkinsville.

Police located a vehicle leaving the area that matched the description of Keys’ car and made a traffic stop.

Officers began to pat down Keys to check for weapons and that’s when he allegedly admitted to having methamphetamine in his pocket. The substance was located in his wallet and Keys was arrested for possession of meth.
