Wind Advisory, heavy rain today

A Wind Advisory is in effect for western Kentucky and middle Tennessee this morning.

It goes until 9 a.m. for western Kentucky, as forecasters say sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 40 could cause unsecured objects to be tossed around. Weakened tree limbs may fall and could cause brief power outages if they fall on lines.

Drivers of high-profile vehicles may encounter difficulty, especially those traveling east or west.

More rain will accompany the high winds, with about an inch expected by the time it ends late this afternoon.
