A Hopkinsville man who was out on bond for a previous burglary was arrested early Friday morning for breaking into the Copper Still on Dawson Springs Road.
The owner of the business contacted police after seeing 41-year old Chadwick Edwards of Hopkinsville inside on the security camera, according to the arrest citation, which says another witness also saw him in the building.
Police say a rock that Edwards allegedly used to break the drive through window to crawl inside was located and that he was located hiding in a cooler.
Edwards tried to flee and crawl back out of the window, but was apprehended and charged with third-degree burglary.
He was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained while breaking into the window.
