A Marshall County woman was killed in a wreck Tuesday afternoon on the Tennessee River Bridge on I-24.
Kentucky State Police investigated the incident that happened just inside Livingston County and say 42-year old Amy Chavez of Gilbertsville was headed west and did not see traffic slowing as she approached the bridge near the 29 mile-marker.
She moved to the left lane to attempt to pass a semi, but the driver of the tractor-trailer changed lanes and cut her off. Chavez lost control of her car as she moved back to the right lane and side-swiped another tractor-trailer and then rear-ended another big rig before coming to rest.
Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Livingston County coroner.
