The Hoptown Hoppers opened play in the Bluegrass World Series at Slugger Field in Louisville Monday, falling to the Hattiesburg Black Sox 7-3. The Hoppers play this afternoon against the Westchase Express, with the Dubois County Bombers to follow meeting the Sterling X-Press.
