The 2018 Planters Bank City Am golf tournament is teeing off this morning at Western Hills. Golfers are playing in several divisions. Round two will be played tomorrow at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Princeton’s Emma Talley missed the cut at the Ladies Scottish Open Friday. Talley had a second round three over 74 to finish two days at four over 146.
Franklin’s Kenny Perry had a one under par 71 Friday in the second round of the Senior British Open at St. Andrews. Perry is at five under 139, good for a tie for 12th place. Union’s Steve Flesch had a three under 69 and is in the house at one under 143, good for a tie for 45th place.
Keegan Bradley played the last four holes in six under, making two of his three eagles Friday, to pull within a shot of the lead in the RBC Canadian Open. Bradley at 12 under trails Kevin Tway by one stroke. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker is tied for 31st at six under par while Kentuckian JB Holmes is tied for 61st at four under.
