A driver avoided serious injury after his tractor-trailer overturned on Allegre Road in north Todd County Monday morning.
Thirty-six year old Brian Johnson of Athens, Alabama had been northbound about a half-mile south of the county line when the right side tires of his freightliner went off the road, according to Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner.
The weight of the trailer pulled the cab 300 feet down a ditch before the rig came to rest on its side.
Johnson was treated by EMS at the scene and refused a trip to the hospital.
Clifty and Allegre firefighters, the Todd County Rescue Squad and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet assisted at the scene.
