Woman arrested for meth, pills in Logan Co.

An investigation in Logan County Monday night led to an arrest on drug-related charges.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of three people attempting to get inside a foreclosed residence at 598 Crittenden Drive about 9:30 p.m. and found that the door had been pried open.

Inside, 41-year old Leah Rogers of Columbia said she had paperwork from the bank to take photos and prep the home for auction or sale.

Police say a search of a purse revealed two baggies containing methamphetamine residue and six straws used to ingest the substance. Rogers gave permission to search her vehicle, allegedly revealing several pills.

Rogers was arrested for possession of meth, prescription pills not in the proper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Jason Brent is the lead investigator in the case and Deputy Cody Fox assisted, according to a news release.
