Remnants of Subtropical Storm Alberto are bringing heavy rain to the area and much of western Kentucky and middle Tennessee are under a flash flood watch from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says one and a half to two and a quarter inches of rain will be possible during the watch period in the Pennyrile region—with locally higher amounts possible.
Anyone encountering standing water on roadways is reminded to turn around, don’t drown.
