A motorcycle wreck on Castleberry-Crofton Road Friday afternoon sent a Crofton man to Skyline Medical Center for his injuries.
According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, the collision occurred around 12:15 p.m. when 41-year old Jason Barnes of Crofton was travelling north on Castleberry-Crofton Road. He struck some loose gravel in the roadway that caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and exit the road.
Barnes travelled over a driveway before being thrown from the motorcycle. He landed around 20 feet away from the motorcycle before coming to a stop. He was flown to Skyline Medical Treatment for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
He was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
