The calendar says Spring is on the horizon, but mother nature may have another round of winter weather in store for western Kentucky.
A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Christian, Todd and Trigg counties until 4 a.m. Monday and a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for counties to the north and west.
One to three inches of snow accumulation is possible in the advisory and three to five inches in the warning area, with isolated higher amounts in small bands of heavy snow.
Visibility will be reduced and snowfall rates of up to an inch per hour could cause a slushy accumulation on area roads.
Anyone planning to travel Sunday evening or night should allow extra time and stay updated on the latest weather forecast.
The National Weather Service hosted a conference call Sunday afternoon and can be found below, via Beau Dodson Weather’s YouTube page.
