Christian County Public School System Communications and Community Education Director Heather Lancaster is leaving the district at the end of the month to take over as executive director of Sanctuary, Inc.
She says Sanctuary is a vital part of the community and she’s passionate about helping victims of domestic violence in the Pennyrile region transition into a better life.
Lancaster says the first thing she’ll do at Sanctuary is learn as much as she can about the organization and how it operates.
She’s enjoyed the last seven years with the school system and says she’ll miss the job, her coworkers and seeing the students succeed.
Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill says Lancaster, “Has demonstrated conscientiousness and genuine commitment to her multiple responsibilities at CCPS. Her positive attitude, skills and experience will serve her well as she moves into her new position. She will be missed and I wish her the very best.”
