Keeping with the tradition of reaching out to the community, the Hopkinsville Police Department served coffee and spoke with citizens Wednesday morning at Chick-fil-A.
A part of the Coffee with A Cop program, officers filled the restaurant and greeted everyone who came through the doors. Officer John Quarles says this event, along with the numerous others they host, allows people to meet their officers in a positive way.
He urged everyone to come out to an event and meet with them, or feel free to talk with them out in the community with any concerns.
He says good relationships between the department and the community is vitally important.
Officers helped run the drive-thru, took orders at the counter and had conversations with those who attended. The department will continue to host events into the year, including more Coffee with A Cop and eventually Cookout with Cops as the weather warms up. **
