A Hopkinsville man is facing charges after he allegedly swung a knife at a victim on South Main Street on Tuesday.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers were called to the 1600 block of South Main for reports of a disturbance between residents. Investigation determined that an argument had begun between two individuals and 67-year-old Bennie Davis of Hopkinsville.
When the two victims began walking away from Davis, he reportedly followed them, continuing to shout. That’s when he allegedly pulled a knife and attempted to slash at one of the victims, while allegedly threatening to do him harm.
Davis was located a short distance away after police arrived and taken into custody. He reportedly had several pocketknives in his possession.
He is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
