A crash involving a semi-truck and a tow truck on I-24 sent one person to a Nashville hospital Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer John Godsey tells WHOP News that a tow truck was pulling a box truck along with a chain near the 72-mile-marker, heading eastbound, when it was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer.
The impact pushed the box truck and the tractor-trailer into the cable barriers, causing them to overturn.
The roadway was shutdown as a helicopter was landing to fly the driver of the tractor-trailer to a Nashville hospital for treatment, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers.
