Two injured, one flown in Fort Campbell Boulevard collision

A Hopkinsville woman was flown to a Nashville hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard Sunday morning.

It happened in the area near Hardee’s and Arby’s on the Boulevard around 9 a.m. in the intersection. The report from the Hopkinsville Police Department states that a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Whitney Frost of Hopkinsville was crossing through the intersection from the Hardee’s area in an attempt to get to the Arby’s parking lot.

At the same moment, a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kiesherra Cushenberry of Hopkinsville was heading south on the Boulevard and the two collided.

Frost’s vehicle overturned onto its roof, and she was still inside when first-responders arrived, with a bystander holding her head and neck still until she was moved by EMS. Frost was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where she was then flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.

Cushenberry was sustained injuries to her arms and was transported to the hospital.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
