Law enforcement are investigating after an adult male was shot by a firearm on Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Walnut Street, and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers says the victim was in a car and suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. Rogers says he was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with CPR in progress.
The victim’s current condition is unknown.
