Two file to run for Christian County School Board seat in District 5

As the filing deadline for those looking to seek a non-partisan office approaches, two individuals have filed to run for Christian County School Board in District 5.

That’s the seat currently held by board member and board chair Tom Bell, who as of Wednesday morning, has not filed to seek re-election. But two other individuals have filed their paperwork for that District, and they’ve made announcements on social media.

Dr. Robert Webb is a native of Hopkinsville and Christian County, where he is currently a minister at the Little River Church of Christ. In a news release, Webb says his past business experiences and his love for this community has called him to stand up and speak up. He is the son of the late Muriel Web and nephew to Earl Webb, both of whom were Agriculture teachers in the public school system.

Whitney Dulin Holland has filed her paperwork to seek the District 5 school board seat—she is a Hopkinsville native who graduated from Christian County High School in 2004. With a daughter who has a disability, Holland says she had to learn quickly how to advocate for her daughter’s educational needs through the school system, and now she would like to do the same for children across the district.

She says it is important to her to help facilitate an environment that continues to support teachers and staff, as well as strengthen communication with families in the school district.

District 5 and District 3 for Christian County School Board are up for grabs in the 2026 general election, with the filing deadline set for June 2.
