Three people sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle, rollover collision Monday afternoon in the area of West Princeton Street and Poole Mill Road.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, preliminary investigation determined that a tractor driven by 33-year-old old Leanna Graber of Crofton was heading eastbound on West Princeton Street when a passenger vehicle driven by 20-year-old Nathan Powell of Nebo pulled into their path.
Powell reportedly told deputies that he had been southbound on Poole Mill Road, looked both ways at the stop sign at the intersection of West Princeton but didn’t see any vehicles. He continued through the stop sign—that’s when the collision occurred.
The impact caused the tractor to overturn, injuring Graber and two young children who were passengers in the tractor.
The two children were flown by helicopter to Saint Vincent Hospital in Evansville for treatment, which is where Graber was also taken by ambulance. Powell was not injured.
