Salvation army lieutenants set to depart Hopkinsville

After serving two years in Hopkinsville, Salvation Army Lieutenants David and Britney Donegan have their new orders and will be relocating to South Carolina.

The Donegans came to the Hopkinsville office in 2024, coming from the Paducah Salvation Army where they served for three years before coming here. In their time in the Hopkinsville office, they have participated in homeless outreach and advocacy, welcomed Dinner Church to serving through the Salvation Army, started the initiative to create a new community resource center, helped in flooding relief efforts and more.

In a post to social media, David Donegan says they’ve been assigned to serve as the Corps Officers for the Anderson Corps in Anderson, South Carolina. He says it’s never easy to say goodbye to a place and people one loves so deeply, but they’re filled with hope and anticipation for what lies ahead.

He says, “Thank you to our Hopkinsville family for loving us so well. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
