As the weather warms up, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Farmers Market is set to return to Founder’s Square on Saturdays.
Last year, the farmers market was open on Thursdays and Saturdays, but following public feedback, Emalee Hudson from Community and Development Services (CDS) says it will only be back on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon for now. The market opens on May 2, and Hudson says they already have a good lineup of vendors.
CDS is still accepting vendors and it costs $50 to sell goods for the entire season. Hudson says they are interested in vendors selling homegrown foods and homemade items, including produce, crafts, baked goods, honey, flowers, protein and more.
Along with inviting more vendors, Hudson says they are searching for community groups and musicians that would be interested in hosting events at the farmers market.
The farmers market runs until September 26, and those interested in being a vendor can call CDS at 270-887-4285.
