Colonels’ Davis signs soccer letter with Lindsey Wilson

Christian County High School soccer player Noah Davis hasn’t always had a passion for soccer. In fact, after an early experience with the sport at the YMCA, he didn’t play competitively until seventh grade.

Five years later, the senior striker was in front of his friends, teammates, coaches, and family signing a college letter-of-intent to play soccer for Lindsey Wilson University. He said he’s glad he discovered the love of the game in middle school.

Davis said he was excited for the opportunity to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level.

Davis scored 19 goals and provided two assists during his senior season with the Colonels. For his career, Davis scored 36 goals and had 15 assists.

Colonels’ Head Soccer Coach Avery Seeger said it wasn’t the offensive prowess that Davis displayed, but the leadership he showed his younger teammates his senior year, that was most impressive.

Lindsey Wilson Head Coach Sicelo Buthelezi attended the signing and agreed that Davis’ leadership was one of the reasons he wanted him for the Blue Raiders’ program. He said he also liked Davis’ athletic ability and felt he was a good fit for the program.

Davis said he plans on majoring in media studies with a minor in business.
