HPD investigating after two injured in East 13th shooting

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating following a shooting on East 13th Street early Tuesday morning.

According to HPD Public Information Officer Justin Rios, officers responded to the 900 block of East 13th for reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, they were able to locate several shell casings and a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire.

A short time later, officers were called to Jennie Stuart, where two adult individuals had arrived with gunshot wounds. One of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the other victim was transported to an out-of-state hospital with more serious injuries.

That victim was reported to be in stable condition.
