Christian County High School basketball player Josh Bridges announced on social media on Thursday that he has committed to play wide receiver at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Bridges, who played football and basketball with the Colonels in 2024, transferred to Murray for the 2025 football season. The 6-foot senior caught 54 passes for 905 yards and nine touchdowns this season and led the Tigers to the Class 2-A state championship game. Bridges also rushed for three scores in 2025.
In his junior season for the Colonels, Bridges caught 31 passes for 563 yards and eight touchdowns. He also rushed 13 times for 56 yards.
Following the football season, Bridges transferred back to Christian County and is on the Colonels’ basketball team.
