Several area high school basketball players and teams are among the state’s leaders, according to KHSAA statistics released this week.
In boys’ basketball, Christian County High School junior Rahsean Stevenson is ranked ninth in field goal leaders this week. Stevenson has connected on 87-of-126 attempts, making 69 percent of his field goal attempts.
Meanwhile, University Heights Academy junior guard KeShawn Moore is 12th this week in scoring. Moore is averaging 25.6 points per game.
Former UHA star Tylin George, of Adair County, is 28th, averaging 22.6 points per game.
Hopkinsville High School’s team is ranked 23rd in the state in field goals. The Tigers have connected on 50.6 percent of their attempts this season.
In girls’ basketball, Christian County senior Anaysia Bagwell is 36th in the state in 3-point field goals per game with an average of 2.5 per contest.
The Lady Colonels also rank No. 41 in the state in rebounds. Christian County averages 33.3 rebounds per game.
