It was a tough day in the pool for the Christian County High School swim team Saturday at the Best of the West Swim Meet in Bowling Green.
Neither the Colonels nor Lady Colonels had a top-10 finisher in the meet.
The Colonels’ 200-yard freestyle team of Evan Meacham, Kolton Parker, Sam Peck, and Shemar Barker finished 17th with a time of 2:05.54. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Lucas Coats, JiRell Maxie, Calyx Rizer, and Zachary Manco took 16th in 6:07.34.
The Lady Colonels’ 400-yard freestyle relay team earned a 15th-place finish with a time of 5:58.35. The team members included Lia Beckham, Alyssa Mase, Madison Spain, and Gracelyn Clark. The 200-yard freestyle team of Addison Renshaw, Macy McGinnis, Clark, and Addison Peck took 18th in 2:16.85.
Individually, Barker had the Colonels’ top finish as he took 19th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:20.27.
For the Lady Colonels, the top individual finisher was Renshaw, who took 24th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:35.28. Addison Peck also was 24th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:27.87.
