Hopkinsville High School’s volleyball team held its final awards banquet on Tuesday night at the Memorial Building.
Madysen Taggart, Alayna King, and Kyleigh Weber each took home a pair of awards.
Taggart earned Most Aces and Most Kills. King took home the Hustler Award and Most Assists. Weber earned the Leadership and Most Digs awards.
Sammy Walker earned the Most Blocks Award.
For the JV team, Nai’Keyri Coleman earned the Hustler Award and Saralynn Major picked up the Leadership award.
Freshman awards went to Autumn Gaskin for Hustler and Zoe Ramirez for Leadership.
As the program comes to an end, Hopkinsville coach Laykin Peek thanked District Athletic Director Kerry Stovall and Hopkinsville Athletic Director Jacob Ezell for having faith and trust in her to lead the program for the past four years.
“To our booster club, faculty, staff, fans, and the media, the Hopkinsville community, your support has meant everything,” Peek said. “To my coaching staff and every athlete I’ve had the honor to coach, you made this journey one I will never forget. Hopkinsville volleyball will always be a part of me.
“To the players, never forget how strong, capable, and determined you are,” Peek continued. “Keep pushing, keep dreaming, and keep representing Hopkinsville with pride. Tigers forever.”
