An Oak Grove man has been charged in connection with a shooting on Younglove Street in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon.
As previously reportedly, the Hopkinsville Police Department and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS responded to the area of Younglove and Mechanic Streets and located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to his foot. The victim was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment and was expected to make a full recovery.
Investigation led police to the Oak Grove residence of 21-year-old Michelangelo Pierre to conduct an interview.
During that interview, Pierre allegedly admitted to take the license plate off his vehicle that was used in commission of the shooting. He also allegedly to providing a loaded assault-type weapon that was fired at an individual on Younglove.
Officers collected roughly 13 shell casings at the scene. Pierre was arrested and charged with complicity to first-degree assault.
The investigation remains ongoing, with additional charges pending.
