An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the foot on Younglove Street Monday afternoon.
First responders were called to the area of Younglove and Mechanic Street at roughly 6 p.m., according to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, and when they arrived they located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the foot.
The victim was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, and is expected to recover.
The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators by calling 270-890-1300.
