Tigers hold off Mayfield in Grind Session play Sunday

Hopkinsville High School used a double-double from senior guard James Bradley Jr. to hold off Mayfield 56-55 in a boys’ high school basketball game Sunday afternoon at the Grind Session in Owensboro.

Bradley scored 10 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Curtis Dillard led Hoptown with 13 points and Layton Giltner added 10 points.

The Tigers fell Saturday 63-61 in overtime to Graves County on Saturday at Muhlenberg County in the Farmers Bank and Trust Tip-Off Classic. Bradley Jr. led Hoptown with 18 points and TayShaun Quarles added 12.

Hoptown is 2-1 on the season and returns to action Wednesday night in a District 8 game at Fort Campbell.
