Festival of Trees return to the Bruce Convention Center in December

If you’re looking for a time-honored way of getting into the Christmas spirit, then we know just the event for you, as the Christian County Festival of Trees is set to take over the James E. Bruce Convention Center in December.

This yearly event is hosted by the Pennyroyal Center and has grown into something truly tremendous that needs the available space at the Bruce. Organizer Zoe Edwards says they’re already at nearly 40 trees set to go up this year, and they’re hoping to nab a few more tree sponsors before the big weekend.

Edwards says these trees a specially decorated and designed, and you can purchase raffle tickets at a $1 per ticket, and put them in for a chance to win your favorite tree and take it home. All money raised at the event goes back into benefiting the Pennyroyal Center and their services.

The Festival of Trees will take place on December 12 and December 13, with the drawing for the trees happening on that following Saturday—just in time for Christmas.

It’s free entry to view the trees, and there will be a vendor fair happening that same weekend—anyone interested in being a vendor can contact Edwards at 270-886-2205.

You can keep up-to-date with the Festival of Trees by visiting the Christian County Festival of Trees Facebook page.  With the Hopkinsville HES Christmas Parade set for December 13, you could make it a festive weekend to get fully into the holiday spirit.
