Hopkinsville Police arrested 36-year-old William Thomas Farmer of Hopkinsville after he reportedly unlawfully entered a home and imprisoned the occupant on Sunday.
Officers responded to a residence on Honeysuckle Drive for reports of a burglary in progress. At the scene, officers heard yelling coming from an upstairs bedroom and commanded both subjects to come downstairs.
A female victim came downstairs and Farmer followed. He reportedly told officers that the victim invited him inside where they got into an argument.
However, the victim reportedly told officers that Farmer entered the residence through the unlocked front door without permission. Farmer then reportedly dragged her up the stairs by her hair, and the victim says he prevented her from leaving.
Surveillance footage also reportedly shows Farmer entering the residence and forcefully taking the victim up the stairs. Farmer was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
