Court dismisses murder charges against Oak Grove murder suspects

Tyron Holt and Omega Plaisime appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where the pair’s murder charges were dismissed.

Holt was originally charged with complicity to murder and Plaisime was originally charged with murder in the 2022 shooting death of 18-year-old Gailon Toler. Plaisime was also arraigned on additional charges after he reportedly violated the terms of his ankle monitor release in March.

In court, Special Prosecutor Richie Kemp dismissed the pair’s murder charges. Plaisime is still facing charges of tampering with a prisoner monitoring device, second-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication and he also needs to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Plaisime’s Defense Attorney Olivia Adams says the mental health evaluation could be completed sooner if he was allowed a temporary monitored release.

Circuit Court Judge Andrew Self did not make a decision concerning a release and asked Adams to provide more information concerning a prisoner monitoring service in Paducah that could help with the release.

Holt and Plaisime will reappear in court on January 26.
