We’ve all heard the tale of the Bell Witch in this part of the world, but have you ever gotten to hear it told by local historian, and story telling master William Turner himself?
Thanks to the efforts for former WHOP News Directors Adam May, who digitized the older recordings, and Jim Love, who recorded this interview on tape-recorder at the time it happened, you can listen to an older rendition of the Bell Witch Story below.
It’s unclear just how old this recording is, but it could have possibly been from the early 1980’s… or maybe even earlier than that.
