Holiday Hooplah brings the holiday spirit to the Hopkinsville Sportsplex

Plenty of folks got a start on their holiday shopping at the Holiday Hooplah Craft and Vendor Fair at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville Saturday—and if some if it was just for themselves, there was no judgment.

Just under 90 vendors filled the space, and they had all types of handmade items, for wood works to paintings, 3D printed dragons to crochet critters, from food and snacks to vintage trinkets and everything in between. There was something for everyone, and they had a costume competition and candy for kids as well.

Coordinator Tony Henson was well-pleased with the turn out, not just in vendors, but in folks coming in to shop as well, with roughly 1,000 people stopping by before noon. Henson says this is the fifth year for this event and they want to keep it going, as it’s just one of the many ways they benefit the community, saying the Sportsplex is about more than just the sports.

Sports and athletic events is where they excel, Henson says, but this building belongs to all the people of Christian County. He says this event also is about supporting the many artisans and small businesses that call this area home, saying these folks have both talent and drive.

Henson thanked the community for the support they’ve shown for this event. You can find more information on upcoming events and tournaments by visiting the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville on Facebook.
