Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor on Cadiz Road last week.
According to the report Christian County Sheriff’s Department, it happened on Wednesday of last week just before 3 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Jesse Doughty of Paducah attempted to pass another vehicle on Cadiz Road near the four-mile-marker.
Once getting around that vehicle, that’s when Doughty told deputies he saw there was a tractor hauling equipment, and he was unable to brake in time and struck the back of the tractor.
Doughty was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of numerous injuries, along with a passenger in the vehicle. The driver of the tractor was not injured.
Everyone involved was wearing their seatbelt.
