Heritage Christian Academy and Hopkinsville squared off in a key District 8 volleyball match Tuesday night at Warrior Gym.
The Lady Warriors improved to 13-14 overall and 4-3 in district play with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-16) win. HCA swept the season series with Hoptown.
Hadlee Hayes led HCA with 12 kills, seven digs, and an ace and Bralee Fowler had nine kills and eight digs.
Defensively, the Lady Warriors used 13 digs from senior Charity Chambers, who was honored before the game for Senior Night. Emma Dalke had a pair of blocks.
Makenzie McCarty had 25 assists and a pair of aces.
Hopkinsville fell to 4-18 overall 0-6 in district play. The Lady Tigers were led by Madysen Taggart’s seven kills and nine digs. Kyleigh Weber had 10 digs and Brooke Stewart provided 10 assists.
HCA is scheduled to play at University Heights Academy Thursday night in a District 8 match. Hopkinsville is scheduled to play at Trigg County Thursday.
