An Arkansas woman was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck in Hopkins County Wednesday night.
According to Kentucky State Police, it happened near Dawson Springs on Interstate 69 near the 92-mile-marker at approximately 11:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Julia Jones of Arkansas crossed the median for an unknown reason and crossed into the southbound lanes.
It entered the path of a tractor-trailer driven by 51-year-old Jose Tovar-Silva of Mexico, who was unable to avoid a collision.
Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner. No charges have been filed in this incident.
