Kendall Hancock scored five goals and provided an assist as the host University Heights Academy Lady Blazers beat the storm and Ohio County 8-0 Tuesday night in a girls’ high school soccer match.
UHA led 6-0 at the half and scored two quick goals in the second half to end the game due to the mercy rule.
Audrey Perry had a goal and four assists. Cecilia Langhi and Gracie Ausenbaugh also had goals for the Lady Blazers, who improved to 11-2-1 on the season.
Skyar Cantrell had two assists and the UHA defense did not allow a shot on goal in the shutout.
The Lady Blazers are scheduled to play Thursday at home against Hopkins County Central in a match between the top two girls’ teams in the region, according to the newly released RPI.
