All four local volleyball teams took part in the Quad State Tournament over the weekend in Paducah.
Christian County finished the tournament 3-2 and advanced to the Silver Bracket.
The Lady Colonels (12-13) defeated Hopkins County Central (2-0), Carlisle County (2-0) and Heritage Christian Academy (2-0). The losses came to Owensboro (2-0) and Marshall County 2-0).
Christian County senior Shiloh Baker picked up her 1,000th-career dig during the tournament.
Meanwhile, HCA also advanced to the Silver Bracket and finished 1-4 in the tournament. The lone win came against Bullitt Central (2-0).
The Lady Warriors fell to Webster County (2-1), Madisonville-North Hopkins (2-0), Carlisle County (2-0), and Christian County (2-0).
HCA’s Makenzie McCarty reached 1,000 career assists during the tournament.
HCA is now 11-13 on the season.
University Heights Academy dropped 2-0 decisions to Marshall County and Warren East on Friday night before coming back on Saturday to beat Hopkinsville 2-1. After falling to Bullitt Central 2-0, the Lady Blazers defeated Community Christian 2-0.
UHA is now 9-11 on the season.
Hopkinsville went 1-4 in the tournament with its lone win a 2-1 decision over Hopkins County Central. The Lady Tigers dropped 2-0 matches to McCracken County and Logan County. Hoptown also fell 2-1 to UHA and Caldwell County.
Hopkinsville is now 3-15 on the season.
