The Christian County Colonels celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday night against the visiting Heritage Christian Academy Warriors and it was the Colonels’ Noah Davis who threw a scoring party.
The senior scored seven goals and provided two assists and helped the Colonels grab their first boys’ soccer victory of the year, 11-4, over the Warriors.
The seven goals are four short of the state record for goals in a game, but it was still enough to improve the Colonels to 1-8 on the season and 1-2 in District 8 play.
Dekari Harris scored a hat trick and Kevin Galvan added a goal and an assist for Christian County.
Cooper Fort and Edgar Galvan also had a pair of assists.
Leandro Rodriguez-Sanchez had four saves to earn the win in goal.
Heritage Christian slipped to 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in district play. Kallan Davis led the Warriors with a hat trick and an assist. John Spurling also scored for HCA.
Cayden Nowak had 12 saves in goal for the Warriors, who return to action Thursday at Trigg County.
Christian County will meet Hopkinsville for their final regular season match in school history on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The two schools will consolidate to make the Christian County Tigers next fall.
