UHA golfers win 3-team meet with HHS, CCHS

University Heights Academy defeated Hopkinsville and Christian County in a three-team high school golf match Thursday afternoon.

UHA’s Jackson Flynn had a 39 and led the Blazers to a team score of 169. Hoptown was seven shots back at 176 and were led by Isaiah Wood’s 40.

Christian County’s Drew Fincham was the low medalist with a 38 and the Colonels had a team score of 193.

Other Blazers playing included Nash McAfee (43), Waylon Johnson (43), Bryson Turner (44), and Courtland Gibson (45). Playing as individuals, Jackson Crick had a 43, Cody Robinson carded a 45, and Will Nahlik finished with a 54.

For Hoptown, Henry Riggs (45), Sam Riggs (48), Ryan Martin (48), and JB Payne (51) figured into the team score. Individually, the Tigers were represented by Matt Baker (42), Landyn Hollimon (50), Aiden Riley (60), and Alex Naylor (68).

Christian County team players included Chris Adcock (50), Cansler Wells (51), Clayton Dixon (54), and Reed Ezell (58).

Jaedon MacMillon played as an individual for the Colonels and carded a 54.

In the girls’ match, Caroline Tucker shot a 36 to lead the Lady Blazers. Allie Sandifer carded a 44 and Ella Perry had a 49.

Christian County’s lone golfer was Anslee West, who had a 54.
