University Heights Academy used a strong offensive performance to roll past host Christian County 8-0 Thursday night in a boys’ District 8 soccer match.
Graham Conrad and Cal Givens both scored hat tricks to lead the Blazers while Lincoln Hauret had a goal and two assists. Clayton Lester added a goal and an assist and Jack Cavanah provided an assist.
Hayden Fitzsimmons had two saves in goal as the Blazers ended the game due to the mercy rule 3 ½ minutes into the second half.
Preston Gentry had four saves in goal for the Colonels, who slipped to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in District 8.
The Blazers improved to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in district play.
UHA returns to action tonight at 6 against District 8 foe Heritage Christian Academy ahead of Saturday night’s All “A” Section 1 championship game against Mayfield at 7 p.m. at Givens Field.
Christian County is scheduled to play host to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday.
