The Hopkinsville Tigers will look to get back into the win column on Saturday when they play host to Prosser Academy from Chicago in a high school football game.
The Tigers are coming off a 42-19 loss to Madisonville-North Hopkins last Friday night and enter Saturday afternoon’s game 1-1 on the season.
Not much is known about Prosser, which is 1-0 on the year, but Hoptown coach Dustin Lopez said he has seen enough on film to know the Tigers will have a challenge this week.
The Tigers will need to improve on defense this weekend after giving up 386 total yards to the Maroons last weekend, including 231 rushing to Madisonville running back Markezz Hightower.
Hoptown has never met Prosser Academy in football, but it is the first of two Illinois teams the Tigers will face this fall. Lopez also has Carterville, Ill., on the schedule on Sept. 26.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with airtime set for 1:30 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP.
All tickets will be sold on Gofan. Here is the link to purchase tickets to the game:
